Souls Of Black Folk
My concept was based on the idea of "veiling" that Du Bois talks about in Souls of Black Folk. I thought of a way to show this was through redaction. Per project requirements I was not allowed to omit any text so the text is repeated after being marked out. I wanted my text to be very elegant and modern. I used a wider leading to reinforce the idea of the bars and justified the typography to make it seem contained.
